I do not share from the assumption that I am convincing an audience of non-believers. Rather, if anything, I am sharing the dissolution of blocks I once encountered with the assumption that anyone following me may have been in a similar situation.
Thus, today’s post.
Now generally, it’s not that anyone completely lacks power; rather limiting beliefs hold us back. These beliefs are not always emotional- sometimes they’re spiritual.

I long believed in many forms of conscious creation and magic, but certain spiritual conflicts kept me from pursuing abundance; namely the conflict between my adherence to Buddhist non-attachment and the idea of pursuing one’s desires that sits at the heart of many manifestation teachings.
One may believe in many forms of conscious creation and magic, yet experience certain spiritual conflicts that keep them from using their own power and manifesting abundance. How can such a conflict be resolved?
Firstly, we cannot judge a tool solely by its misuse. The idea that manifestation is about obsessing over external objects of desire is a misrepresentation owing largely to cultural appropriation and the dominance of ‘spiritual capitalism’ on social media. This persists because we live in a culture that operates on capitalist values, and it is very hard for many to deeply examine and detach from the fundamental cultural beliefs their worldview is built on, whether or not they’re a ‘mystical thinker’.
Manifestation actually requires a great deal of non-attachment, as the roots of obsession and chasing after a desire are fear of loss and a lack mindset. In manifesting, you obtain nothing. You simply call from within that which is already there.
Until I was curious enough to learn this, I was letting my attachment to non-attachment keep me in self-denial! It’s important not to let the ego seduce itself into martyrdom, poverty, timidity and self-abandonment by thinking there is something virtuous about them; as this is an abundant Universe and we are part of an abundant Creator, there is nothing spiritually superior about denying your desires! Even the Buddhist pursuit of Enlightenment, inner peace, and being desireless is…in fact… a desire! So don’t get tangled up in conceptual blocks when you could instead be fully experiencing the life you always meant to manifest into.
