“Sometimes the best thing you can do for others is to take care of yourself.”
Have you heard this adage?
In most cultures, there is the sentiment that being selfless and prioritizing others over oneself is good, highly moral behavior. Unfortunately this is often pursued or presented in an imbalanced way that leads many kindhearted people to end up over-giving, depleted and self-abandoning. Why? Because serving others is seen as honorable, and serving yourself is seen as selfish.
Understand that the misuse of what “selfish” means is a tool that benefits oppressors. “Selfish” is someone who refuses to consider and care for others and would gladly take from others if it meant gaining for themselves. Meanwhile, many people feel squeamish about making sure they are as well off as they wish friends, family and strangers on the internet could be.
In the end this often leaves us in situations where we end up needing more help from others than we would have if we had just set good boundaries and spent some time tending to ourselves instead of feeling guilty about doing so. This leaves a person feeling spent, incapable, self-limiting & unable to support people and causes they care about.
In terms of psychic warfare, this is a successful way to keep entire communities of good people spiritually, energetically and financially impoverished. Each person can gain just enough support from others when needed, but none of them feels that they can or should get themselves to a considerably better place than others because that would be “selfish”.
The key to escaping this mental trap is remembering that separation does not exist.
When you better yourself, your life, your emotional state, or your finances, you are bettering others. You are part of the community! When you’re doing better the whole community is doing that much better!

The same way it is said that one of the best ways to help the world is to heal yourself, one of the best ways you can uplift your community is to uplift yourself. From there, you are in a much better position that allows you to give much more to those you care about.
Manifesting for yourself is manifesting for others.
